Summary:
We are actively seeking a detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our diverse financial team. The CPA will be responsible for overseeing various accounting processes, financial reporting, tax preparation, and compliance activities for our clients. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, expertise in tax laws and accounting principles, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively. Responsibilities:
* Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and ensure the accuracy of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
* Tax Planning and Preparation: Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring all filings are compliant with current regulations and submitted on time. Provide proactive tax planning strategies to optimize tax obligations.
* Audit and Compliance: Conduct internal audits and prepare for external audits. Ensure that all financial operations adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and best practices.
* Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to create detailed budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
* Client Advisory Services: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering financial insights and guidance to improve profitability and operational efficiency. Assist clients with accounting software, financial management, and strategic financial decisions.
* General Ledger Maintenance: Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and financial close processes. Ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is required.
* Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting, tax preparation, financial analysis, or a related role.
* Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, etc.), tax preparation software, and financial reporting tools.
* Knowledge: Thorough understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and corporate finance. Familiarity with industry-specific accounting issues is a plus.
* Ethical Conduct: Strong ethical standards and integrity in financial reporting and handling sensitive client information.
